I absolutely adore nude and dull gold shades for my makeup, as they give my medium complexion a more dusky finish. The MUA Pearl Eye Shadow No. 27, seemed like a promising gold, so I gave it a shot. Read on to find out what I think...

The packaging is impressive. The eye shadow rests in a cute little container with a gripped top lid that clicks open and close easily. No 27, is not your basic pressed powder eye shadow. It is glittery and felt different when I rubbed it for a swatch. This is the kind of dull gold, which will perk up a smokey eye and add a dash of sparkle to the eyes if worn alone. It can even be used as a highlighter under the eyebrows or anywhere on the face. It's a little tricky to work it that way, but if you're good with makeup, you'll figure it out. The color payoff is great; I seriously didn't expect it to show much before I swatched it. It stays on for about 4-5 hours and may stay longer if applied over an eye shadow base or primer. Blending requires a little effort and I'd recommend using fingers or applicator for this one instead of a brush.
